Attic 71 promotes the work of Hull writers by organising regular spoken word events and publicising their work online and at market stalls in the city.

Attic 71 has also been involved with locally based filmmakers in Hull and has presented joint film and spoken word events, worked with local musicians and also with local radio when Hull writers have read out their work live on air.
